Today Jeff and Sarah are going to teach you all about the different ways to make money as a small creator. We’ll cover some traditional routes like YouTube. But we’ll also explore other avenues such as having your own brand, merchandise, and products. So, let’s get into it.
YouTube can be considered a viable income source for smaller channels with fewer than 800 subscribers for several reasons. Firstly, while the YouTube Partner Program traditionally required channels to have at least 1,000 subscribers to monetize their content through ads, the eligibility criteria have evolved. Currently, channels with 500 subscribers and 3,000 watch hours within the past 12 months are eligible to join the program. This means that even channels with less than 800 subscribers can potentially earn revenue through ad monetization. This Jeff and Sarah would consider income source number one. But that’s not all and the fact of the matter, this is just a byproduct of utilizing YouTube.
